I am hearing that top offensive line prospect Matt James may soon be a Notre Dame verbal. I am also hearing the Buckeyes may have backed off recently. His uncoming visit to Notre Dame is going to tell us alot.

"Is this guy as massive as some say he is ? Different reports have him 6'5 to 6'8 range. Says he's slender and holds his weight well - could really blossom in college program.
Buehler ? "
I believe he is at least 6-6. He can go 320. No concerns about his feet and frame. He has gotten stronger. The junior tape shows a player much better at the point of attack. He was getting stiffed too often as a sophmore.

"Caught you off guard? Dawg check your posts. I told you this week James was going to visit ND and it didn't look good...I am your 'Nati bureau chief LOL "
We are Buckeye fans so lets hope that todays visit turns our info into old news.

"James was at OSU spring practice today.
Why would he attend if he is not interested? "
Players stop and take one last look regularly. Make sure they are making the right decision. I am not saying that is why he was here. What may be going on is a disconnect. These coaches do not have as much time to focus on recruiting like they did just a couple of weeks ago. It could be that simple. Keep in mind that coaches cannot officially contact players directly until May 1st. Get through this visit without a verbal and the game changes. My sources believe there is a strong possibility that verbal is going to happen.

If not for the fact that his plan seemed to be to come back here anyway I would call it a positive. What I want to see happen is James get out of South Bend without a verbal. If that happens I would call him being here significant. I still would call him being here a good thing. Hopefully we just had a disconnect. Someone got busy. We are in spring ball right now. I am hoping we had a coach with not enough time on his hands and we are seeing the staff making things right. Keep in mind that the consensus was James was a Buckeye lean. This news caught me off-guard.

Bucknuts just did a practice report and said that Matt James was at practice today talking with JT. Does this change anything for us? What says your contact?

"You have to assume that. I just can't confirm anything that I have heard yet."
What a strange situation. A month ago we were wondering when, not if, James and Montana would commit. Now it looks like Montana may be thinking somewhere else, and we've apparently cooled on one of the best lineman in the state. Recent developments that just leave me scratching my head.
